This book was awesome. just awesome. I laughed and cried. I wished for Lex and Noah to overcome it all. I was drawn in and never let go.

the insight of working at SmartMart through Lex’s commentary and her adventures on the job was priceless. the coupon woman was too much. laughed to I cried.At first when you read about Lex you are put off. Just as Noah thinks you will think of her as a spoiled rich kid. But as you get to know her through her interactions with Bess and Ruthie and how she is with Noah and his secrets you see a kind person who is just needing to see things from different sides to realize who she is. Lex’s grandma is priceless and her dad so sweet. Ruthie is precious as is Bess. Each character at Smartmart with the Exception of one will have you laugh at their antics and show you what Smartmart means to them and the family it has brought them. Noah is the guy that wronged Lex’s friend Bryce who to me is a jerk. I know he did awesome things for Lex but he was a jerk. A jerk who almost lost his best friend because he couldn’t let go of something from two years ago. something everyone thought was Noah’s doing. As Lex got to know Noah and see him for the great smart guy he was that was loyal to his friends and family she fell for him. As Noah got to see Lex through the eyes of Bess and Ruthie he feel for her. Each got to see more of each other and see similarities at the pageants for their sisters. Each saw what the other hides. Each began to form a trust and friendship for each other and begin to see each other as more.

a book that shows us we can’t judge a someone by who they hang out with and what you have been through but for who they are. One that shows that people aren’t what they always seem. the end lets you see what is important and puts perspective on what is important and that is the person itself and how you feel about them and not what others will think. I mean at times Lex was a idiot and insensitive but she wasn’t really sure how to handle things. This is a sweet fun funny entertaining book about love and letting go of what you think to open yourself to see who someone really is.

A fast and enjoyable read about how minor shoplifting turns into a minimum wage job and the opportunity for to people to find their true love.
I'm so glad that I finally read this book. There were some moments where I would cringe, but I still loved this book. I need more!!
I read and loved Vivi Barnes' OLIVIA TWISTED so I was eager to preorder my copy of PAPER OR PLASTIC, and boy am I glad I did! This story is utterly charming, compelling and fun. Such a unique concept and storyline. The characters made me laugh so hard. I'm eagerly waiting for more of Vivi Barnes' work.
Overall, it’s a good book for Sunday afternoon reading. The teenaged characters actually act like teens, which is refreshing. Sometimes I’ll read YA books and I forget the characters are teens. The characters have concerns and problems that it remember worrying about when I was I high school.

The romance is cute and adorable. If you’re interested in HEAs, I recommend.
I'm so glad I decided to give Paper or Plastic a shot. I was a little hesitant based on the reading the description - assuming that the MC wouldn't sound like an actual teenager, but more like an adult trying to sound like a teenager. There's nothing I hate more than when the MC doesn't sound authentic, and I was happily surprised that this wasn't the case here.

Paper or Plastic is a fun YA contemporary romance. I liked both Lex and Noah and enjoyed watching them fall for each other.

I really enjoyed this story. Overall I would say it's a light read but it has some deeper moments. I liked the parts with Lexi's grandmother. I think those were realistic and relatives who have Alzheimer's is something that young adults do have to cope with. There were also no slow parts it was easy to read in a few sittings. However, there were a few small continuity issues throughout the story. One example is that Alexis had weekends off and then it said she always worked them or it not being her lunch but then a few moments later she says it's her lunch break anyway.

The story itself was good. Fun quick read all the drama of being a young adult. However I dont feel the lead heroine ever truly learned her lesson. I know if I did what she did I wouldn't be able to sit for a month. And the sneaking out I thought the mother's punishment was more then fair. I liked the hero I sympathize d for his situation and he was just a good guy overall. She tried to portray the heroines mom in a negative light but all I got was a lot over bearing and wanted what she thought was best for her daughter. Also a few time line issues and a few things that stood out like when they left for the pageant it was in a Tahoe when they got back it was an escalade. Stuff that happened on Friday got referred to on Monday as last night. Also there's obviously something mentally challenged about Ruthie? but the heroine failed to recognize it and the author completely glossed over we never actually learned what it was.
